just signed a massive    infrastructure spending bill into law    one of the significant pieces of    legislation within the account is the    increased electric vehicle tax credit    for electric cars built in the united    states by union labor the big three ford    gm and stellanas benefit the most from    this legislation since they all use uaw    union labor in their assembly plans    harris took to twitter to assure the law    would result in more vehicles being    built in the u.s    with the bipartisan infrastructure law    we're going to build electric vehicles    and the batteries and parts that go into    them in the united states instead of    relying on other countries said harris    the future will be made in america after    kamala harris's tweet many people    immediately responded that harris failed    to mention tesla notably zach nelson    behind the jerry rig everything youtube    channel responded to vice president    harris tesla has been in the u.s electric vehicle push farley has    previously said ford plans to be the    country's number two automaker in    electric vehicles behind tesla by    mid-decade he didn't attach a time frame    to when the company thought it could    overtake tesla he said it would come    down to product execution over the next    four years adding that ford has every    intention of being the top electric    pickup maker    farley said ford has already produced 2    000 f-150 bolts of lightning during the    vehicle's first two weeks of production    at the dearborn michigan plant but    meanwhile tesla only needed one week to    make 10 000 cars at giga berlin factory    ford was overconfident when harris    backed it with a credit of up to twelve    thousand dollars however ford omitted an    important detail tesla without any    credit is already leading sales in the    u.s    farley said ford plans to produce six    hundred thousand electric vehicles by    2023 including a hundred fifty thousand    f-150 bolts of lightning and two hundred    thousand ford machi crossovers ford said    it plans to have the capacity to make    two million electric cars globally by    2026 but elon confirmed the electric    ram 1500 pickup and a dodge muscle car    also coming in 2024 a jeep off-roader    and a jeep lifestyle family suv with    2025 set to bring chrysler's first    electric
