Elon Musk Just EXPOSED The Corruption Of NASA!

senator bernie sanders requested congress on wednesday to eliminate 10 billion dollars from a new nasa lunar landing contract that will most likely go to blue origin the rocket company founded by amazon founder jeff bezos sanders an outspoken critic of bezos and billionaires in general claimed that bezos and spacex founder elon musk were exploiting nasa to bankroll their new space race as nothing more than an atm machine but wondering why elon musk thinks that jeff bezos is sanders man hello everyone welcome back to elon musk evolution where we bring you the most recent news about elon musk and his multi-billion dollar companies in today's video we'll talk about elon musk giving a final warning to senator sanders but before we begin make sure you subscribe to our channel and click the bell icon so you don't miss any of our amazing videos and let's get started jeff bezos and elon musk have been feuding for years about the performance of their rockets and space enterprises which peaked during a debate over who may use a nasal launchpad and who was the first to land safely a rocket but now the two billionaires who are among the world's wealthiest men are locked in a bitter battle that pits two massive business empires against each other in battles that are taking place in the courts the federal communications commission and the halls of congress in what has become one of the most acrimonious business rivalries in a generation what started as a battle between musk spacex and bezos blue origin space business over a big nasa contract to land men on the moon has now expanded to include a race to develop a broadband satellite service in space that brawl has intensified and become more personal spacex has been deploying a network of satellites that might number in the thousands to transmit internet communications to earth for the past few years amazon has a similar strategy with its cooper program amazon contested a spacex application to the fcc to change its proposal claiming that the revision would violate the fcc's guidelines spacex responded it didn't hold back spacex only dismissed amazon's technical ability accusing the corporation of attempting to prolong spacex's efforts to compensate for its own failures amazon's track record according to spacex amply illustrates that as it lags behind competitors it is more than prepared to exploit regulatory and legal processes to create impediments meant to delay those competitors from putting amazon even further behind amazon retaliated accusing musk of blatantly breaking lawful restrictions time and again the behavior of spacex and other musk led enterprises makes their point clear rules are for other people and those who insist on or even just seek compliance are deserving of scorn and ad hominem assaults amazon stated in its statement with the regulator then spacex filed again another week another amazon protest against a competitor and still no indication of movement on amazon's own long rumored satellite system the company wrote in a letter to the fcc since the days of andrew carnegie and john d rockefeller over a century ago american enterprise has been built on ferocious competition between industrialists musk and bezos are now creating a new chapter focused on space a sector idealized by popular culture and sentimentality for the 1960s apollo period but which has risen in recent years as one of the most fascinating industries with immense development potential both bezos and musk present their space goals as ways to aid humanity whether by developing a metropolis on mars as musk desires or colonies in earth's orbit as bezos imagines but according to margaret o'mara a university of washington professor and author of the code silicon valley in the remaking of america a history of the technology period space is also a big financial opportunity they're not government employees they're business people she explained space is an obsession for both of these billionaires but it is also a developing sector with plenty of money to be made last year blue origin spent nearly 2 million dollars on lobbying since 2013 the corporation has progressively strengthened its presence in washington with lobbying spending increasing as bezos and must compete for supremacy in the space economy in the first quarter of 2022 blue origin spent 560 000 on lobbying lobbyists focused on problems linked to nasa for multiple bills according to lobbying records filed on april 20th two blue origin lobbyists are coming to the corridors of congress where they previously worked megan mitchell blue origins vice president of government affairs previously worked as a fellow and senior consultant on space an aeronautic policy for representative steve palazzo from 2012 until 2015 when she departed to work for blue origin palazzo is a member of the house appropriations committee in the commerce justice science and related agencies subcommittee where mitchell leads lobbying efforts on space transportation and nasa concerns in the commerce justice science and related agencies appropriations act of 2022. mitchell has also worked previously for the federal aviation administration which she now represents on blue origin's behalf jason sussovich another blue origin lobbyist spent more than 15 years on capitol hill dealing with national security and military affairs before joining blue origin as the head of national security space policy in 2021 during his time susavich worked in both the house and the senate while lobbying filings clearly stating that he does not lobby in the senate given his recent role as director of national security policy and senior adviser to senator dan sullivan he did however fight for blue origin in the house where he worked alongside mitchell from 2006 to 2015 on measures such as the national defense authorization act build back better and the appropriations bill saslovich was also an ex-military legislative assistant to representative don young our alaska the dean of the house and the longest-serving member of congress who died last month this november blue origin lost a 2.9 billion lunar landing contract to spacex the contract dispute was a complicated ordeal that exemplified bezos and musk's bad blood in their government-funded endeavors into space the blue origin pack has donated more than two hundred thousand dollars to federal candidates and groups in advance of the 2022 midterm elections including contributions to officials on committees where the corporation hopes to advocate blue origins pac gave ten thousand dollars to house armed services committee chair representative adam smith the cycle another six thousand dollars was given to representative matt cartwright chair of the house commerce justice science and related agencies subcommittee and another six thousand dollars was given to representative charlie crist who serves on the house appropriations committee and the house committee on space science and technology this year the pac has contributed equally to democrats and republicans in 2018 bezos donated 10 million dollars to the with honor fund blue origin and spacex are fighting for supremacy in the space industry as the federal government prepares to increase spending on space security top pentagon contractors such as lockheed martin and northrop grumman are also competing during the company's first quarter earnings report northrop grumman ceo kathy warden stated that space continues to be one of the fastest growing military budget sectors with a 30 percent plus year-over-year rise blue origin and spacex are fighting for dominance in the space industry as the federal government prepares to increase spending on space defense top pentagon contractors such as lockheed martin and northrop grumman are also competing during the company's first quarter earnings call northrop grumman ceo kathy warden stated that space continues to be one of the fastest growing defense budget sectors with a 30 plus year-over-year rise but federal contracts aren't the only thing that could help space entrepreneurs in an op-ed in the guardian sanders chastised both billionaires for attempting to use federal funds to fund their space ventures but he also warned that the companies stand to profit handsomely from government-funded space exploration as the 2015 space launch competitiveness act allows private firms to own any resources discovered in space the reality is that the space economy which today mostly consists of private companies essentially free of charge utilizing nasa facilities and technology to launch satellites into orbit which is already very lucrative and has the potential to become exponentially more profitable in the long run sanders wrote the modern era of space exploration and technology has begun one that may rival the 1960s in historical significance and intensity it's unclear whether these advances will be met with the same cultural fervor that made the previous space age feel so distinct this time public interest in space is powered less by fantasy and more by the agendas of powerful billionaires space exploration comes at a high price one that most citizens cannot afford even if they save for a lifetime the average american's annual salary is roughly one-tenth of a 450 000 virgin galactic space ticket even if musk's far-fetched vision is meant to be a humanistic reminder it's easy to see why the public is so apathetic about space but it will still remain that spacified appears to be a wish fulfillment for the wealthy and that's for today's video if you enjoyed the video give it a like and don't forget to subscribe to our channel to see more of our incredible videos let us
