Elon Musk's Crazy Announcement Is Challenged by Jeff Bezos

a few months ago when people started    speculating that Elon musk will buy or    create his own social media platform much thought that this was just a joke    and that it would never happen but now    after it happened and it is a reality    Elon has a lot of opposition that he is    dealing with every day one such story is    related to amazon CEO jeff Bezos who    publicly raised questions about    potential problems that Elon musk owning    Twitter might create    with that a few days ago musk revealed

his next moves regarding upcoming big    changes on twitter and these changes are    very exciting the billionaire has often    stated his desire to allow people more    control over what they see on it by    turning the firm private musk will be    able to work on the service away from    the influence of investors regulators    and others    if musk does take twitter private then    according to statistics provided by deal    logic it would be the largest deal to    take a phone private in the last two    decades    amazon.com inc founder jeff bezos turned    to twitter on tuesday to highlight elon    musk's tesla's links to china after    tesla's ceo a 44 billion dollar buyout    of twitter became public knowledge bezos    raised a provocative question    the pioneer of amazon has questioned if    this transition will make life tough for    tesla inc in china    according to the statistics china was    tesla's second largest market after the    united states in 2021 last year the    shanghai facility generated over half    the company's global sales and musk has    stated that the ratio might increase by    100    furthermore chinese battery    manufacturers are important suppliers    for tesla's evs    just before twitter revealed it had    accepted elon musk's 44 billion dollar    takeover offer the world's richest man    wrote i hope that even my worst critics    remain on twitter because that is what    free speech means    the world's second richest man issued a    tweet expressing concern about possible

Beijing's influence on Twitter and    challenged those words of Elon about    free speech    jeff Bezos has questioned if china will    rely on Elon musk's tesla company to    acquire twitter criticism of Beijing    Bezos cited the new york times    reporter's piece in which he emphasized    the importance of China to test this    company citing the fact that it was the    electric car maker's second-largest    market    according to the tweet China may now influence twitter citing the    news piece Bezos said that it raised an    interesting question the question that    whether or not China has gained some    measure of influence over the town    square he was referring to musk's tweet    in which he called Twitter

the digital    town square after the acquisition was    made public    amazon founder and ceo jeff bezos    clarified his remarks in subsequent    tweets saying that any chinese pressure    was unlikely to be successful in the    imposition of censorship    he said that his answer to the question    would be no bezos believes that in    essence that situation more likely to    happen would be a complex situation    between china and tesla which would    largely not affect twitter tesla has    thrived in china because of china's    interest in environmental sustainability    tesla was able to get low interest    financing and the approval to fully own    its local businesses    in fact elon stunned everyone when he    said in shanghai i'm not sure how well    it is known outside of china just how    much china is a world leader in    environmental sustainability it's    extremely impressive moreover people    throughout social media platforms are    very excited about upcoming changes on    twitter for example twitter co-founder    jack dorsey has stated that musk is the    social media site's singular solution    dorsey who took twitter public in 2013    stated that the firm has been owned by    wall street and that going private was    the right first step    according to bloomberg he owns 2.36    of the company    according to dorsey's tweet in the    thread twitter

as a corporation has been    one of his biggest and only regrets    he said that because of this regret he    firmly believes that musk is the perfect    man for the job to solve the issues of    the social media platform as a company    moreover this is not the first time the    public has witnessed the two richest men    in the world interacting about twitter    on twitter itself    a few weeks ago the world's wealthiest    man tweeted that the majority of    twitter's employees worked remotely musk    tweeted a poll to his millions of    followers on twitter in which he    proposed the conversion of the san    francisco headquarters of the company    into a homeless shelter because almost    all the employees work remotely now    more than 1.5 million users voted in the    poll with 91 voting yes    later the poll was removed he later    tweeted that he was serious about    considering the idea    musk's competitor in the space race    bezos expressed his support for the plan    the amazon founder tweeted a may 2020    post from the technology focus blog    geekwa on amazon's eight story family    homeless shelter next to its seattle    offices stating the idea worked out    beautifully and it made sense for    employees who want to help bezos has    also proposed turning some significant    percentage of twitter's headquarters if    not the entire building into a homeless    shelter musk ended up agreeing to the    idea in a subsequent tweet san francisco    one of the most expensive cities in the    world to live in has seen an increase in    the number of homeless persons on the    streets    nonetheless there will very certainly be    a lot of scrutiny twitter is not the    most popular social site it has more    than 217 million daily

users compared to billions on Facebook and Instagram but it has played a tremendous role in influencing global narratives political leaders have used it as an amplifier while corporations celebrities and others have utilized it to develop their image and brand but now Elon musks will be the CEO of this platform so it's not surprising that many are not happy with this transition that's it, for now, don't forget to follow me.
